Every year the Rowhedge Heritage Trust hosts a community seafood picnic on Lion Quay. As a nod to Rowhedge’s great fishing past, seafood platters, crabs and oysters are all brought into the village and served from an old Dutch barge alongside the quay. You can order your seafood in advance here.
Prices are:
Small single platter £13
Double platter £37 (please note that these portions are much larger than the single platters!)
Quad platter £74 (again, these are larger portions that the single platter)
Oysters £7 per ½ dozen
Dressed crab £9 each
You must place your order by 19 July.
Of course you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the event.
