To mark our 20th anniversary year, we are mounting an exciting exhibition of the life and work of Daphne Curle (1895-1975). She was an artist, writer, musician and teacher who lived for most of her life on Rowhedge High Street, in what was once The Ship Hotel. This will be a fascinating exhibition that celebrates the life of one of Rowhedge’s most talented individuals. 
Come and view an amazing range of artefacts, including diaries and photographs, a vast collection of letters and postcards as well as her stories, poems, drawings and music. Together they tell the fascinating story of a family of shopkeepers who lived in Rowhedge and of a talented young girl who never quite managed to reach her full potential. 
The Exhibition will take place on 23 & 24 March at Rowhedge Village Hall and will display selected materials from the extensive family archive left by a young lady growing up in Rowhedge in the late Victorian/Edwardian era.

Saturday 23rd 10.00am – 5.00pm
Sunday 24th 11.00am – 4.00pm
There is no admission fee, but you are invited to make a small donation to the RHT when coming to visit.
